I stayed home from school today because I caught a cold. And I'm sniffing and sneezing nonstop. So I decided to take a break from the Delirium Project, of which I will post something later this week, and make some thumbnails. I never did thumbnails before so it was kind of an experiment. I didn't save all the steps because I wasn't planning on posting this. So I have only step one, the final step and some kind of in between step :P
This is step one- I made some vehicle silhouettes with a flat brush, on a new layer.
Then I made a new layer and connected it to the silhouette layer by right-clicking on the layer in the layer pallet and choosing Create Clipping Mask. Now, if you draw on the clipped layer all the paint you apply will only be visible on the silhouettes.
And this way I added, windshields, racing stripes, shadows and highlights without painting outside the silhouette.
